Cadet Scheme
The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar operates a cadet scheme
for young people aged fifteen to seventeen who are interested in
adopting the core conditions of the Order into their lives. In
return, we offer support and guidance through mentorship, access to
educational materials should there be a desire to learn about
Templarism, peer support and communication through latest
technologies such as online forums, chat rooms etc., a sense of
belonging through the encouragement of fraternity amongst our
younger members and a sense of community through participation in
the ARK project.
Our younger
members are also encouraged to attend public and/or charitable
events that have been organised by the Order provided that they are
accompanied by a responsible adult.
The Order recognises that
this scheme is a prelude to full membership which becomes available
to individuals once they reach the age of eighteen. As such, consent
must be given by a parent or carer before membership can be granted.
Further details about membership can be found by downloading our
Routes to Membership Acceptance
document.
